A Peek Into Heaven

Just one little peek into heaven,
Is all I'm asking for today.
I just want to know how she's doing,
And heaven seems so far away.
Is she playing on the clouds with angels?
Is she laughing and running today?
Does she miss me?
I guess only she knows.
Oh why does heaven seem so far away?
If you just let me look for a moment,
To catch a glimpse of her sweet smiling face,
I promise I won't try to take her,
I know, she's in a better place.
Just one little peek into heaven,
Is all I'm asking for today.
I just want to know how she's doing,
And heaven seems so far away...

To finally let you go.
I know you're gone,

It may be the last
time spent with you
is like sand in the hour glass
slowly fading away
every minute I touch your face,
every second I hear you laugh
it echoes in my mind, it may be the last
every time you make me smile,
I lock it deeply into my soul
every night I wish upon a star
hoping you’re wishing on mine
for I fear our star is fading,
I am afraid to blink for one minute
fearing you will disappear

it is the reminder of you I have left

reveals a tint ray of light
where hope eternal shines.

and in her eyes i see that i
need only to believe

A gentle breeze is escort to
the earthly morning dawn
and for the slightest momet then
we breathe the air as one

A songbird greets the sunlight
rising high above the trees
and as her shadow joins the light

You slipped away
We had to part
God eased your pain
But broke my heart

I know I have to let you go.
How I will I do not know.
I know that it's your time to die.
What I don't know is how to say goodbye.
I'll miss you so much I don't know what to do.
I guess I'll just end this poem with a goodbye and an I love you.

A Rainy Day
Things are not as bad
As they now may seem to be
Your life will still go on
Even though it’s without me
These are not tears of sadness
On this day of rain
Please look at them as tears of joy
For I am now free of pain
You cannot know the freedom
Or the peace that I now feel
I hope this is some comfort
As you all now learn to deal
The battle now is over
And in many ways I’ve won
While you might think it is raining
I am warm amidst the sun
